We take care of preparing your personal tax return, calculating your tax position for the year and electronically filing your return with HMRC. We also ensure that you are aware of the due dates for the payment of any tax liability arising and that any refunds are repaid to you in a timely manner by HMRC.
Whilst completing your tax return, we review your affairs to identify any simple tax planning opportunities to minimise your tax bill.
Our fees are quoted on the basis of an annual service, so you can contact us during the year with any queries without having to worry about getting a bill for our time. All compliance fees are quoted for and agreed with you in advance and, whilst every return is different, fees for our annual service start from £350 (+ Vat).
We provide expert tax planning advice on all areas of UK tax, including income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning.
Getting the correct tax advice for your particular circumstances is of upmost importance. Our role is to assess and understand your circumstances, explain your options and the tax consequences of these and guide you through the decision making process.
Whether you are looking to reduce your liability through tax efficient investments such as EIS or pensions, buying or selling an asset, or changing your business structure, there are almost always tax issues that should be considered and getting the right advice to allow you to make the right decision is vital.
We are happy to have a free, no obligation consultation with you to get an initial idea of your position and provide you with an idea of how we can assist. We can then provide an accurate quote for the advice required so that this can be agreed with you in advance.
Every company, regardless of size, is required to complete an annual set of statutory financial accounts for filing with HMRC and Companies House.
The statutory accounts provide important financial information to the directors and shareholders of the company, therefore it is important that they are prepared accurately and in a timely fashion.
We will work with you to ensure that we collect all the necessary records, prepare the accounts, discuss and agree the figures with you and finalise the accounts for submission in a prompt and efficient manner.
The cost of preparing company accounts greatly depends on the size and nature of the company, and also on the condition of the records presented to us. Our fees will be quoted for and agreed prior to any work being carried out.

Any individual or company who files a tax return with HMRC is potentially subject to having their return enquired into.
Many of these enquiries are targeted at more complex, higher-risk returns, but more straight forward returns will still be open to an enquiry if HMRC disagree with the manner in which the figures are reported or if they have received contradictory information from a 3rd party source.
We have a great deal of experience dealing with HMRC on numerous types of enquiry and in negotiating/settling the tax position with them. We are happy to have an initial free consultation with you to establish the nature of the enquiry, how we can assist and the cost of doing so before agreeing on how best to proceed.
Once your business turnover exceeds the registration threshold (2014: £81,000), you are required to register for VAT purposes, include VAT on invoices to clients and file returns online to HMRC, usually on a quarterly basis.
We can assist with both the registration process and the completion of your VAT returns. We can also provide advice on related VAT issues such as the Flat Rate Scheme, Cash Accounting and Annual Accounting in order to ensure that your VAT affairs are operating in the most efficient manner for your business.
Fees vary depending on the complexity of the returns, but fees start from £200 (+ Vat) per quarter.
If you need your business to employ individuals, including yourself, you will need to register the business for PAYE purposes, and then complete monthly online filings with HMRC under the Real Time Information (RTI) system.
We can manage this process for you and assist with setting up Direct Debits so that the monthly process happens automatically throughout the year.
Fees start from £10 (+ Vat) per month, per employee.
